Fit Like a Glove: A Guide to Garment Fitting and Pattern Alterations

Sign up or log in to save this to your schedule and see who's attending!

Creating a flattering and well-fitting garment is a challenge for all seamstresses. The goal is to mold a two-dimensional paper pattern to a unique three-dimensional body without wrinkles, stress-lines, or pickers in the fabric. Though this panel, J.Hart will address various common fitting challenges, including sloped shoulders, ample busts, and flat derrieres. With hundreds of diagrams, you will learn how to alter a muslin, or toile, for a perfect fit and how to transfer these alterations to the paper pattern. Basic sewing knowledge is recommended for this panel.
