Fit Like a Glove: A Guide to Garment Fitting and Pattern Alterations
Creating a flattering and well-fitting garment is a challenge for all seamstresses. The goal is to mold a two-dimensional paper pattern to a unique three-dimensional body without wrinkles, stress-lines, or pickers in the fabric. Though this panel, J.Hart will address various common fitting challenges, including sloped shoulders, ample busts, and flat derrieres. With hundreds of diagrams, you will learn how to alter a muslin, or toile, for a perfect fit and how to transfer these alterations to the paper pattern. Basic sewing knowledge is recommended for this panel.

Architecturally Engineered Bodice: A Guide to Building a Supportive, Comfortable Gown
Bridal and evening gowns employ period dressmaking techniques and materials to construct sturdy and nonrestrictive infrastructures. Through this panel, J.Hart will illuminate the construction of a modern strapless bustier through hundreds of illustrations and photos which leaves an undeniable influence on the shape of the finished garment. Basic sewing knowledge is recommended for this panel.
